THE FOOLISHNESS OF GOD: A Forgiveness Journey with Desmond Tutu takes viewers on a dramatic global journey revealing Nobel Laureate Desmond Tutu’s process of promoting forgiveness. This film shares the story of filmmaker and activist, Karen Hayes who followed Archbishop Desmond Tutu , for more than 15 years - during South Africa’s anti-apartheid movement, the Rwandan genocide, and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission hearings. Having set out to make a film about justice, when Karen witnessed Tutu asking Rwandan genocide survivors to forgive the perpetrators, it had a powerful and unexpected impact on the course of the film and the filmmaker’s life.
