Victor Sibusiso Masondo
Composer VICTOR SIBUSISO MASONDO hails from Durban, South Africa. In 1990 he produced Miriam Makeba’s first album recorded after coming home from many years of exile. It featured legendary artists Hugh Masekela, Nina Simone and Dizzy Gillespie. Victor has arranged for and conducted the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra and n 2006 he arranged music for the Duke Ellington Jazz festival in Washington D.C. In 2008 Victor served as musical director of the Nelson Mandela Tribute Birthday concert in Johannesburg Stadium, and in 2010 produced and directed the closing ceremony for the World Cup.
